Frequently Asked Questions

Addressing concerns about legitimacy, sources, and how you can help.

Is this website legitimate?

Yes. Every document hosted on this archive is sourced directly from official court releases and FOIA requests. I do not fabricate, alter, or editorialize any content. The documents speak for themselves. I'm simply making them searchable and accessible to the public.

Where do these documents come from?

All documents are obtained from publicly available sources including DOJ, state court filings, and Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) releases. When new batches are released by the courts or government agencies, I add them to the archive as quickly as possible.

Why should I trust this site over others?

I provide the raw, unedited PDFs exactly as they were released. You can verify any document by cross-referencing with official court dockets. I don't add commentary, watermarks, or modifications. The search functionality simply helps you find what's already public record.

Are documents being censored or selectively uploaded?

No. I upload complete document sets as they become available. Some documents may be redacted at the source (by courts to protect victims' identities, for example), but I do not perform any additional redactions or omissions. What the courts release is what you see here.

Who runs this site?

Just me—one person. I'm an independent researcher committed to public transparency. I operate independently and am not affiliated with any political party, news organization, or government entity. This is a solo project born out of the belief that these records should be easily accessible to everyone.

Is the data safe to download?

Yes. All files are standard PDF documents served directly from secure servers. I do not bundle executables, scripts, or any other potentially harmful content. Standard security practices (keeping your PDF reader updated) are always recommended.

Are you a Republican?

Fuck no. Fuck Trump and everybody that is down with him.

Why is the site sometimes slow or down?

Traffic spikes are common when new documents drop or when the archive gets media attention. I'm one person running this on limited resources. I do my best to keep things running smoothly, but occasionally demand exceeds server capacity. Bear with me—I'm working on it.

How can I support this project?

Running this archive isn't cheap, and I'm doing it all solo. We're talking about 800 gigabytes of documents, bandwidth costs from millions of searches and PDF downloads, and server infrastructure that needs to stay online 24/7. There's no corporate backing, no investors, no team—just me, paying out of pocket because I believe the public deserves access to these records.

If you find this resource valuable, consider supporting with cryptocurrency. I use crypto to maintain operational independence and protect privacy. Every donation goes directly toward hosting costs, bandwidth, storage expansion, and keeping this archive free and accessible for everyone.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed. You're helping keep public records truly public.

Can I use these documents for research or journalism?

Absolutely. These are public records and you're free to use them for research, journalism, academic work, or personal interest. I only ask that if you publish findings based on documents found here, you cite your sources accurately and consider linking back to the archive to help others verify your work.
